Whether it’s hosting a plant tour for local students or inviting elected officials for a visit, on October 7, manufacturers across the country will be hosting events to celebrate Manufacturing Day.
Manufacturing Day helps inspire the next wave of manufacturers and shows community members, policymakers and families how much the 12 million men and women who make things in the United States contribute to society.
Last year, there were over 2,626 registered manufacturing events hosted by businesses around the nation, but there are likely many more. If you are planning an event, please make it official and take a few minutes to register your event.
Registering your event can help spread awareness to the public and local press and boost attendance. It’s also a great way to connect with local schools and build relationships with students, apprenticeships and internships.
Manufacturing is everywhere. The industry leads in American innovation, and it’s important to show just what that looks like—from producing vehicle or airplane parts to the next life-saving medicine. While any day can be a Manufacturing Day, join us on October 7 to share why manufacturing matters in America.
