My Voice: Protect S.D. manufacturing workers

From high-quality farm equipment, industrial pressure washers and concrete mixers to innovative LED displays and electronics equipment, South Dakota’s manufacturing workers build diverse products and power an expansive industry. However, one thing most of these manufacturers have in common is that they depend on the ability to sell the products they make to customers overseas.

For the past 80 years, the U.S. Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank has been a top trade tool to level the playing field for American manufacturers competing abroad, and it is critical to domestic job creation. In S.D., the agency has supported more than $43 million worth of exports since 2012.
