NAM Releases New Ads Urging Senators to Protect Manufacturers and Reject Scott Garrett


Following last month’s confirmation hearing for Scott Garrett’s nomination to lead the Export-Import (Ex-Im) Bank of the United States, the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is launching new ads in South Carolina and Washington, D.C. highlighting the bipartisan skepticism of Garrett’s suitability for the position. The ads demonstrate Garrett’s repeated refusal to disavow his past crusade to eliminate the Ex-Im Bank—a crusade that put the 1.4 million U.S. jobs the agency supports at risk—even when implored to do so by members of his own party.
