U.S. Used More Clean Energy in 2016


From their annual nationalĀ energy flow chart, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory analysts discovered that Americans increasingly used renewable, alternative energy sources like solar, wind, geothermal and hydropower in 2016 beyond the previous year.

Coal, petroleum and natural gas continue to be the main sources of energy consumption in the United States, making up about 81 percent of U.S. energy consumption, according to theĀ U.S. Department of Energy.
